Welcome to our page.
The KVH Tommy & Yankee Association located in Pilsen (Czech Republic) is dedicated to the history of war during World War II, focusing especially on Western Allied forces. The base of our re-enactment group is formed by two separate sections, i. e. the British Army department and the American Army department. Our objective is to authentically introduce and describe to the public what the contemporary life and living conditions of allied soldiers were like during one of the most violent war conflicts which the humankind has come across so far. The soldiers of Allied forces are portrayed by the re-enactment group members from both British and American sections. As the accent is put on maximal authenticity all the members wore original uniforms or uniforms accordant with the real ones the most. Living history should revive pictures which most of us couldnt see in person. Because of this members of our group do the best to enliven those days.
Our group participates and helps to organize both re-enactments of WW II combat scenes and memorials and events on the occasion of important historical jubilees, anniversaries or remembrance days. We provide also fine exhibitions of wartime military hardware, armaments and other objects which are in possession of our members. Last but not least our association cooperates closely with other similarly institutions and re-enactment groups both from Czech Republic and abroad.
