Uplynulou sobotu jsme využili ke třetímu ročníku akce Vánoce v Ardenách, kterou vždy po dvou letech slavíme vánoční svátky na frontové linii. Snili jsme sice o bílích Vánocích, ale dopadlo to, jako vždycky. Hlavní však bylo naše přátelství. - - - Last Saturday we took advantage of the third annual Christmas in the Ardennes event, which we celebrate Christmas on the front line every two years. We dreamed of a white Christmas, but it turned out, as always. The main thing, however, was our friendship. @tommy.yankee @men_of_the_2nd_id_wwii
Uplynulou sobotu, 15. 11. 2025, jsme se vypravili Uplynulou sobotu, 15. 11. 2025, jsme se vypravili do lesa, abychom si pocvičili taktické postupy v terénu, které jsou základem pro činnost na soukromých i veřejných akcích. Byla to ideální příležitost pro zatrénování nových zájemců o členství v našem spolku. A velice rádi jsme přivali i hosty, mladé kolegy a kamarády z Klubu vojenské historie Domažlice, se kterými nás pojí zájem o americkou 2. pěší divizi. A právě nasazení divize "Indianhead" v okolí německé obce Bleialf v listopadu 1944 bylo inspirací pro naši akci. Konkrétně jsme ztvárnili průzkum rozšířeného pěšího družstva roty C 38. pěšího pluku. - - - Last Saturday, November 15, 2025, we went into the forest to practice tactical procedures in the field, which are the basis for activities at private and public events. It was an ideal opportunity to train new recruits of our association. And we were very happy to welcome guests, young colleagues and friends from the KVH Domažlice association, with whom we share an interest in the American 2nd Infantry Division. And it was the deployment of the "Indianhead" division in the vicinity of the German village of Bleialf in November 1944 that inspired our event. Specifically, we depicted a reconnaissance of an expanded infantry squad of Company C, 38th Infantry Regiment. @tommy.yankee @kvh_domazlice @men_of_the_2nd_id_wwii
V sobotu 1. listopadu jsme se v obci Kříše zúčastnili slavnostního odhalení pomníku plukovníka Earla Ingrana, válečného veterána americké 2. pěší divize, který se podílel na osvobozování Československa v roce 1945. Děkujeme Military Car Clubu Plzeň za pozvání a zorganizování celé akce. Bylo nám ctí. Earl je čestným členem našeho spolku.
